This page explains how payment card validity checks operate in Authmate / Merchant Mate. It applies to merchants performing checks and cardholders whose cards are verified.
To verify whether a payment card is active, valid, and able to be charged, Authmate places a temporary pre-authorization hold on the card for a specified amount, and then immediately returns the full amount.
Merchant inputs card number, expiration, CVV, holder name, and hold amount.
Data is transmitted over TLS 1.3 to certified payment processors.
Processor places temporary pre-auth hold with the card-issuing bank.
App displays instant verification: Approved or Declined.
The hold amount is immediately released and returned to the cardholder.
A merchant must possess express, verifiable consent from the cardholder before conducting an authorization check. By submitting card credentials, the merchant explicitly certifies:
If the temporary hold is still visible after 10 business days, email us at support@7kcdev.com with the card brand, last 4 digits, date, and amount.
If you observe a charge from Merchant Mate that you did not authorize, notify our team immediately at support@7kcdev.com. We will investigate and initiate immediate reversal.
We do not store plain-text card numbers (PAN) or security codes (CVV) on client devices. All transmissions utilize end-to-end TLS encryption and AES-256 database vaults in full accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Utilizing Authmate / Merchant Mate for “card testing” (checking lists of stolen, generated, or unauthorized cards) is strictly forbidden. Violators are immediately banned and reported to federal authorities and payment networks under our Terms and Conditions.
